TO: Airport Limousine Permittees
SUBJECT: Revised Policy - Limousine Signage

Per our December 18, 2008 notice, we have met with representatives from the limousine industry regarding permissible limousine signage on the exterior of said vehicles (including sport utility vehicles and vans approved by the Airport to be
permitted as limousines).

Effective March 1, 2009, the Airport will modify its existing policy on exterior limousine signage markings as follows:

Airport limousine permittees may place their company logos or company names as registered with both the Airport's Ground Transportation Permit Processing Unit (GTPPU) and the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) on each vehicle 's exterior. The company name or logo shall be legible in a contrasting, yet complementary, color to the vehicle 's exterior with
the actual company name or logo limited to a maximum physical size of 6 inches wide x 2 inches high. Said signage is permissible at the following locations: a) the rear trunk-lid or lift-gate, and b) the sedan's side sail panel or a sport utility vehicle or van's side third pillar above the wheel well and below the roof line.

Limousine permittees requesting a variance from the above policy are required to submit a written request to Landside  perations explaining why a variance should be granted. Approval of any variances to the above policy, as well as the determination of whether the company name or logo on the vehicle complies with the above policy, shall be determined at the sale and complete discretion of Airport management.

This change does not affect the use of personalized livery license plates and/or license plate frames that identify firm vehicles. Note that each firm's Transportation Charter Party (TCP) number issued by CPUC is also still required to be placed on
each limousine's front and rear bumpers.

If there are any questions regarding this policy, please contact Dan Wong in Landside Operations at (650) 821-6512.
