Effective June 1,2009, rates for ground transportation providers at Mineta San Jose International Airport have been revised in accordance with the Rate Resolution approved by the San Jose City Council on 14 April, 2009. Changes to the fee structure are noted below.
Ground Transportation Operators
- Trip Fees, vehicles of less than 25 passengers:
- $L50/trip, for pick-up and drop-off.
- $1.00/trip, clean fuel vehicles * , for pick-up and drop-off.
- Trip Fees, vehicles of twenty five (25) or more passengers:
- $5.00/trip, for pick-up and drop-off.
- $4.00/trip, clean fuel vehicles * , for pick-up and drop-off.
- An administrative fee of$200.00/year will apply to all operators.
- All ground transportation operators are required to obtain a permit prior to conducting drop-offs or pick-ups at Mineta San Jose International Airport. Failure to do so may subject the company to citations the amount of $250.00per occurrence.
All Ground Transportation Operators:
- No dwell fees are in effect at this time.
- A fee of$50.00 will be applied for missed appointments. 24-hour notice is required for cancelled appointments.
- AVI tags require a non-refundable fee of$25.00.
Refunds of existing deposits for A VI tags may be claimed by returning the A VI tags to the Ground Transportation Office before June 1,2009. Following that date, deposits for non-returned AVI tags will be considered non-refundable.

* Clean Fuel Vehicle: Any vehicle rated SULEV (Super Untra Low Emission Vehicle) by the California Air Resources Board; any hybrid vehicle pre-approved by the Airport between September 23, 2005 and November 7, 2005; and, any dedicated alternative fuel (non-gasoline, non-diesel) vehicle rated ULEV (Ultra Low Emission Vehicle) - Level II by the California Air Resources Board. Vehicles must be approved by the Ground Transportation Unit before qualifying for the discounted trip f ee.
